The BC Urban Mayors' Caucus wants to see provincial ministries work together on "multifaceted series of solutions" and funding as communities face continued and mounting "downloaded" costs. The B.C. Urban Mayors' Caucus is at the legislature to call on the provincial government to take immediate and meaningful action on the critical issues facing communities across the province, warning that continued delays are placing increasing pressure on cities and residents alike. "We're here today to spend a day at the legislature developing and nurturing and making sure that we have very solid relationships with the provincial ministers working on the issues most important to the 16 largest communities in British Columbia," Victoria Mayor Marianne Alto said, addressing reporters at the legislature May 26 alongside caucus members.
