Saanich Police is investigating "to determine what's occurred" after two VicPD vehicles carrying three officers crashed not far from police headquarters Friday (May 22) morning. "Two vehicles collided in the intersection we'll follow the evidence and figure out exactly what decisions led to that," VicPD Inspector Bill Gubbins said at the scene. "I'm thankful that the officers are uninjured, I'm thankful that no members of the public are involved in the crash today. It's obviously an inconvenience for traffic, we'll try to get this cleaned up as quick as we can but we need to conduct the investigation and gather information." Multiple officers and vehicles were dispatched on what police call a "priority call" around 9:15 a.m. when the drivers in two marked police vehicles collided at the intersection of Caledonia Avenue and Blanchard Street.
