A fire broke out at the Riding Fool Hostel in Cumberland, Comox Valley, on the Night of Aug. 16. One of the firefighters was injured while battling the blaze, but no serious injuries were reported. The fire happened at one of Cumberland's oldest commercial buildings, and it caused extensive damage to its interior.
