On Thursday, June 5, the Cariboo Chilcotin Youth Fiddle Society was raising funds while playing some reels at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 139 in Williams Lake. The senior teen players were performing music at a rib dinner and then dance after they were presented with a cheque for $2,000 from the legion to support the group's upcoming trip to Ireland in July.
