A residence on Mackenzie Avenue was fully engulfed in flames as firefighters fought the blaze on Monday afternoon.
Shortly after 4 p.m., multiple fire engines and RCMP attended the scene, with the busy Mackenzie Avenue reduced to single southbound lane initially and then a single lane in either direction.
The flames did not appear to be threatening other structures at the time, however, it was not clear if structures in the rear of the property remained unscathed or not.
