Nanaimo school symbolically adopts animals in sweater day challenge

NANAIMO -- Departure Bay Eco-School, part of Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools, raises money on National Sweater Day and uses it to symbolically adopt endangered animals. In 2020, students adopted koala bears, as their habitat was destroyed in Australian wildfires.
