Donning cycling spandex and yellow bandanas as facemasks, Amanda McCrae and Gaylene Thorogood made fleeting appearances in Tofino and Ucluelet on Saturday, Sept. 26 with a small crew of four other Tour de Rock riders.
Due to COVID-19, the annual Cops for Cancer ride took a major detour from the usual jammed packed schedule of community stops and events, but it carried on none-the-less.
"It's different this year for sure. It's different without the kids and it's different without all the crowds, but we're making it work," said Thorogood, who was of the 2016 Tour de Rock Team.
