For Fire Prevention Week, Langley City Fire Rescue was bagging groceries and talking to customers at three stores. The department also holds an annual open house at the fire hall which has proven popular with families. There people can get fire safety tips, win prizes, meet Sparky the fire dog, and see fire equipment close up. It happens Thursday, Oct. 10.
