Bathtub racing season is about to begin and Tofino local Matt Leonew is pumped to improve on his 2018 rookie campaign. Leonew, 21, pilots the West Coast Hemp tub, owned by Ben Martin, who has been involved with racing bathtubs and the Loyal Nanaimo Bathtub Society since 1995. The West Coast Hemp team plans to participate in seven races this summer, starting with the season's June 2 opener in Oak Bay.
