Rather than work on portraits of famous people, Charles Hays Secondary School art teacher thought it would be more meaningful to have her student take part in The Memory Project. The school district is fundraising to purchase portraits of children facing poverty and other challenges in Peru. With each portrait students in Prince Rupert can then draw, sketch, paint that child. Once the project is complete, they will send the portraits to the children.
