ak Bay's first night market of the season is underway today (June 13) to 8 p.m.
The second Wednesday of the month June through September, Oak Bay Village is transformed into a European style street market. The Oak Bay BIA hosts its first street market of the season on Wednesday, June 13, from 4 to 8 p.m.
A wide range of fresh and local produce and food is available. Artists and artisans showcase a variety of wares including wood turned bowls, hand made greeting cards, glass art, paper casting, fabric arts, jewellery, toys, fresh made soaps and cosmetics and preserves. The stores of Oak Bay merchants are open with special pricing, tastings, demos, sampling and more.
Each market also offers local music, a magician, face painting and balloon animals.
In 2018 the markets are June 13, July 11, Aug. 8 and Sept. 12.
