The BC SPCA Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centre in Metchosin marks a milestone this month. In August 1997 volunteers received the centre's first patient, an oriole. Volunteers 25 years later had the pleasure of releasing a pair of birds this month, a gull and an owl.
