A new study says dogs carry less germs than bearded men. In the new report, European researchers tested 18 men for bacteria found in their beards. The Switzerland-based team then took samples from the neck area of 30 different canines. In their findings, the team at the Hirslanden Clinic said that the human group had more germs than 23 of the dogs. Researchers added that health-damaging germs had also been found in the beards of seven of the men. Due to the coarseness of bearded hair, dirt can get stuck in it easier compared to other areas of the body. So if you grow out that beard, be sure to wash and cleanse it regularly.
