The local Lions Club surpassed its goal Saturday, hosting more than 250 floating devices on Kawkawa Lake during its first-ever Hope Floats Festival.
Participants of all ages floated in the water under an orange-hued smoky sky, while music played at the free event.
There were contests and prizes and the Hope Lions Club served barbecued food.
