Witnesses reported to the Trail Times that they heard a loud "boom" in their neighbouring Rossland Avenue homes at about 12:30 p.m. Friday. One witness thought someone had hit her car and came out to check. It was then she saw a heavy plume of smoke pouring out the windows of 459 Rossland Avenue. Firefighters, police and ambulance were all on scene shortly after.
