Canadian-born "Superman" actress Margot Kidder dies at 69

Margot Kidder, who played Lois Lane in "Superman" opposite Christopher Reeve, has died at age 69. She went on to become a mental health advocate after revealing she had bipolar disorder. She also became a political activist and was arrested in 2011 during a protest against the Keystone XL pipeline. Kidder was born in Yellowknife and since moved to Montana to live away from the spotlight. She also rose to fame for her work in "The Great Waldo Pepper" and "The Amityville Horror."
