Student volunteers joined the Greater Victoria Green Team recently in North Saanich's Lilian Hoffar Park. The Team, with support from the District of North Saanich and a local Friends group, were there to clear the park of English Ivy, an invasive species that chokes out other, native plants. The Green Team helps connect local groups with pools of potential new volunteers - such as students from Parkland Secondary School.
