More than 30 people rallied against Kinder Morgan's project outside MP Ken Hardie's locked constituency office on Friday. It was all in an effort to "demand that our MPs put pressure on Trudeau to stop pushing for the pipeline," according to rally organizers, on a national day of action that opponents have dubbed Defend the Water. The $7.4-billion Kinder Morgan's pipeline expansion is set to nearly triple the flow of multipurpose oil from Alberta to B.C. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's government approved the Kinder Morgan project in 2016, but the pipeline has since faced permit fights and challenges from the B.C. government.
