"Celebrate 150 Acres of Canada’s Natural Heritage" is a unique project that encourages participation in nature walk events hosted by the Edmonton and Area Land Trust in urban and rural locations, to mark Canada’s 150th birthday. While EALT gratefully acknowledges that Canada’s Aboriginal peoples were the original stewards of the land, this project celebrates 150 acres of the over 2,000 acres of land that EALT stewards. Participants joined us for guided nature walks in the sanctuary to introduce environmental stewardship, inspire a deeper appreciation of our natural heritage, and understanding of how nature has shaped our communities and country. Guided walks were held at 9 am, 10 am, 11 am, 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm. You can also enjoy the tour on your own or with friends by following the Virtual Tour Guide for Pipestone Creek on your smartphone as you walk along the trail and locate the numbered signs, as the self-guided signs will remain all year.
