Dancing, singing and teepee storytelling were just a few of the activities at the Bridgeview Community Centre on June 21, as Surrey celebrated National Aboriginal Day.
The city said the event “honours and celebrates the unique heritage, diverse cultures and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.”
Held on unceded traditional territories of the Semiahmoo, Katzie and Kwantlen First Nations, the event also included crafts, face painting and free food.
