Aspire Special Needs Resource Centre presented the 23rd annual Evening of Decadent Dessert, our biggest fundraiser, on Friday, May 12. The event was a great success thanks to the generous Central Alberta community. “The cakes this year were incredible, all donated to Aspire by talented bakers in Red Deer & area,” said Michelle Moore, board of directors chair. “Thanks to generous guests, donors, and sponsors, we were able to raise money; tell the story of Aspire through our theme of Celebrating Exceptional Children,” said Moore. “Of course, the night wouldn’t be possible without our team of more than 70 loyal volunteers.” Final tallies from the event will be released soon. Funds raised from this event go to support Aspire programs, specialized equipment, and fee assistance for families.
