A golden layer of glacier lilies covers the flower meadows on Trophy Mountain northeast of Clearwater on Sunday, June 26. The meadows are a half hour drive from town, followed by a 1 1/2 hour moderate hike. The glacier lilies normally bloom in late June and early July. A second, multicoloured bloom with mountain daisy, indian paintbrush and other species is usually in early August.
